At the end of its lifespan, the product can be disposed of with regular household waste.
Under suitable conditions, the SmartShell decomposes without leaving harmful residues or releasing permanent microplastics.
Since there are currently no comprehensive take-back systems for bioplastics in Europe, we recommend this disposal method.

How do I mount the flip cover?

Installation is simple: The 3M adhesive strip is already pre-mounted to fit perfectly.

Press the hard case firmly into the designated position – done.

You can find illustrated instructions in the product section. Written instructions are also available here.

Does the adhesive really hold permanently?

Yes. We use a high-quality 3M adhesive strip that is already precisely pre-assembled.

It connects your case and flip cover securely, reliably and dimensionally stable – as long as the surface is not made of TPU/silicone and is clean, dry and grease-free.

You can find detailed assembly instructions on the product page.

Can I remove the flip cover or reuse it?

The flip cover is designed for a permanent connection .

If you want to remove it again, you can loosen the adhesive by carefully heating it with a hairdryer . This will allow you to remove your case cleanly and without leaving any residue.

Please note:

The 3M adhesive strip is not reusable and we cannot (yet) offer replacement strips . Reinstallation is therefore not possible.

What material is the flip cover made of?

The flip cover is made of high-quality, finely tanned genuine leather , which is durable, robust and comfortable to hold.

How do I properly care for genuine leather?

Our leather is finely tanned and requires no intensive care. You can occasionally wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Please avoid chemical cleaning agents or greasy care products – these could alter the natural surface.

Are the card slots shielded (RFID protection)?

No, the flip case does not have integrated RFID protection. For added security, we recommend using a separate RFID card if needed.

Where is the flip case manufactured?

Our cases are designed in Germany and manufactured in China in cooperation with certified, fair-trade partners . This ensures that production, quality, and working conditions meet our sustainability standards.
