Our SmartShell is made from a combination of recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP) and natural wheat straw fibers.
The leather cover is made from high-quality genuine leather and stabilizing materials on the inside.
At the end of its life, the product can be disposed of with household waste.
Under appropriate conditions, the SmartShell decomposes there without leaving harmful residues or persistent microplastics.
Since there are not yet widespread collection systems for bioplastics in Europe, we recommend this disposal method.

How do I install the hinged lid?

Installation is simple: the 3M adhesive strip is already pre-installed for a perfect fit.

Press the hard case firmly into the designated position—and you're done.

You'll find illustrated instructions in the product section. Written instructions are also available here.

Does the adhesive really stick permanently?

Yes. We use high-quality 3M adhesive tape that has already been precisely pre-cut.

It securely, reliably, and dimensionally stably attaches your case and its flap—provided the surface is not made of TPU or silicone and is clean, dry, and free of grease.

You will find detailed assembly instructions on the product page.

Can I remove the flip-top lid or reuse it?

The flip-top cover is designed for permanent attachment.

If you want to remove it, you can soften the adhesive by gently heating it with a hair dryer. This will allow you to remove the cover cleanly without leaving any residue.

Please note:

The 3M adhesive tape is not reusable, and we are not (yet) able to offer replacement tape. Reinstallation is therefore not possible.

What material is the flap cover made of?

The flap cover is made of high-quality genuine leather that has been finely tanned; it is durable, sturdy, and pleasant to the touch.

How do you properly care for genuine leather?

Our leather is finely tanned and requires no special care. You can wipe it down occasionally with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Please avoid using chemical cleaners or greasy products, as they may damage its natural surface.

Are the card slots shielded (RFID protection)?

No, the flip case does not have built-in RFID protection. For added security, we recommend using an external RFID card if necessary.

Where is the flap case made?

Our cases are designed in Germany and manufactured in China in collaboration with Fair Trade-certified partners. This ensures that production, quality, and working conditions meet our sustainability standards.
